As the title suggests, I’m looking for whether weblog posts store modified date data for display or reference, etc. I suppose this would become a request if there isn’t already this data.

So there isn’t anything like that baked into the underlying code/source, but I wouldn’t be opposed to adding it! It would also be possible to maintain that independently by adding your own post-level metadata, e.g.: Modified: 2023-04-03 1:04 PM and then using {modified} wherever you wish.
Let me think through the implications of tracking modification times server-side and I’ll follow up soon. Off the top of my head I can’t imagine it being a very big deal, though!

The manual metadata could be a workaround for sure, I did consider it. Thought I’d ask about the automated method and what you think about it.
