Allow some markup in Statuslog bio

Most markup is stripped from the bio field for the Statuslog page. I know Markdown is allowed but I am, again, in attempt to add microformats so I need some wrappers and classes.

Could this field be extended to allow a limited set of HTML markup? Perhaps <div>, <span>, <p>, <img>, I appear to be able to use an <a> just fine. Open to suggestions or reasonable limitations.
